Choosing an equalizer Behringer DSP1124P vs FBQ2496, what's the difference?

 FBQ2496

1) 20 stereo filters
2) filter bandwidth from 1/60th octave to 10 octaves wide
3) filter gain (+15db to - 15dB) in 0.5dB increments, and (-16dB to + 36dB) in 1.0dB increments
4) frequency response is listed as 10Hz to 44kHz, but the lowest hinge point remains 20Hz
5) filter settings are entered directly, no need for +/- fine setting like the BFD.

6) more intuitive and much easier to program compared to the BFD
7) remotely programmable using a PC and a midi connection

8) not the best option if someone wants to quickly toggle between different settings for HT and music

DSP1124P

1)10 banks of stereo filters, each bank has 12 filters
2) default 1/3 octave filters, must use +/- fine settings to adjust other frequencies
3) filter hinge points are are set as fractions of an octave.
4) filters are  from 1/60th octave to 2 octaves wide
5) able to create 10 different filter sets, this means different setting for HT, movies, games, etc.
6) steep learning curve for the n00b

For information about programming and using the DEQ2496 click HERE (I've included this simply because I have a page about it. It's overkill for EQing a sub)
